BRUNSWICK WEST

This family had just purchased their first home after a long search and were preparing to move in with three young children. They were excited about the space and the long-term potential, but felt overwhelmed by the number of decisions required before moving in.

They wanted support not just with choosing finishes and furniture, but with understanding what to prioritise, how to sequence the work, and how to make confident decisions that would hold up over time.

My role covered both planning and execution. I coordinated trades for flooring, painting, joinery and window furnishings, and developed a paint schedule to create a cohesive base throughout the home. I also prepared layouts for the living, dining and lounge areas, as well as each of the children’s bedrooms, ensuring the spaces would function well for family life.

In addition, I sourced furniture across all rooms and developed a detailed procurement schedule that the clients could work through at their own pace. This allowed them to align purchases with their move-in timeline and trade works, while still feeling confident in each decision.

Beyond the immediate scope, I also supported early thinking around a bathroom renovation and helped map out a longer-term plan for updating a second bathroom and laundry.

This project balanced big-picture planning with practical, step-by-step support, helping the family move into their new home with clarity and confidence rather than overwhelm.
